Never-Produced Batman Story for 1966 Batman TV Series by Harlan Ellison

The Producers wanted to include the villain Two-Face in the 1960’s Batman series however, the majority opinion was that the villain would be two menacing/scary for the younger viewers of the show to see. So the compromise was using False Face portrayed by Malachi Throne.

Science fiction writer Harlan Ellison wrote many teleplay stories in his long successful including many Batman (Dark Knight) stories. One of them which was never produced into an episode, was a 1960’s Batman TV story, which has recently been released, featuring the new before used villain Two-Face!

The details about the episode have been released inside his new book entitled; “Brian Movies: The Original Teleplays of Harlan Ellison Volume Five”. The episode title being “The Two-Way Crimes of Two Face”. The book also details why the episode was never produced and his pitch to the idea.
